Aim: An application that took and stored running order information from the news programmes and made it accessible to an external contractor to access for subtitling purposes.
End Product: A system that took information from the internal News Production System and stored it in a database using desktop PCs.
Also a web-based application with secure logons for the Sub-contractor to able to see the information with an adminstration screen for user admin, running order collection setup and application analysis.
The application was very complex and involved a number of different departments in order to get the information retrieved successfully - working across departments is one of DDT's strengths.
