Surfprint
DDT was approached by a printing company based in Scotland to design something different. They did not want a website telling people about their products and prices, instead they wanted a web application, where customers could design and proof their own work online.
DDT worked closely with the client and developed Surfprint which uses unique programming technology to allow customers to design their own business cards, letterheads, invitations, or other forms of stationery from the comfort of their own homes. Customers no longer need to wait for alterations and proofs. Instead they see their design on the screen and can order it immediately.
The site has proved a huge success and has increased the printer's business 10 fold.
